Opportunities for students, national service, internships.
IWMI accepts students from all over the world for internships or thesis work, and welcomes applications from visiting scientists. For Ghanaians, it is also possible to join one of IWMI’s projects in Ghana as national service attachment. While the national service secretariat has fixed regulations and fees, we only accept self-funded students (with own means, grants or scholarships). We will assist them logistically (e.g. with office space), through on-the-job supervision and, if possible, with operational funds. The latter only applies to already funded projects where students will join IWMI staff on certain operational tasks. We prefer internship periods of 4-10 months. Interns might be posted in our Kumasi or Accra office. Our contact address for student applications is iwmi-ghana@cgiar.org.
